Log Haven is in a log house built in 1920 as a summer home for L. F. Rains's wife, with logs brought from Oregon, according to the restaurant's history. It sits up Millcreek Canyon east of Salt Lake City and was named to Salt Lake magazine's Hall of Fame in 2009.

Todd Hoffee is the chef. The October 2026 menu included alpine nachos with forest mushrooms and speck, elk loin, bison striploin and ricotta gnocchi. Millcreek Canyon road conditions change with the season.
