Lodges and groomed ski runs at Deer Valley Resort above Park City
Ski Utah · Park City and the Jordanelle Reservoir area

Deer Valley Resort

Deer Valley is Utah’s polished, skiers-only resort, famous for grooming, service and food, and now more than double its old size after a huge expansion toward the Jordanelle Reservoir.

Snow report

Use the mountain report for resort conditions, then check the separate lift and terrain updates before heading out.

Snow readings and their last-updated time are on the operator’s site. Live snow totals are not currently displayed on this page.

How to read a snow report
24-hour / 48-hour snowfall
New snow over the stated reporting window. The 48-hour total includes the 24-hour window; don’t add them together.
Base depth
Snow on the ground at the resort’s reporting location, which can differ from conditions elsewhere on the mountain.
Season snowfall
Snow accumulated over the season’s reporting period, rather than the depth currently on the ground.
Forecast
A prediction of future snow, separate from measured snowfall. Snowfall alone does not establish which lifts or trails are open.

Use the source’s update date and time zone, especially around overnight storms. Off-season or stale reports may retain old readings. A missing or undated report does not mean no snow.

Report links checked (Utah, America/Denver). This is a link check, not the time of a snow observation.

Deer Valley built its reputation on details: ski valets who unload your car, corduroy groomers, ski-in lodges with linen napkins and a turkey chili people drive up for. It hosted slalom, moguls and aerials at the 2002 Olympics and still runs a freestyle World Cup event most winters. Snowboards are not allowed.

The resort is in the middle of one of the largest ski expansions in North American history. Deer Valley East Village, near the Jordanelle Reservoir off US-40, is now a second base with a 10-passenger gondola up to Park Peak, a string of new chairlifts and nearly 100 new runs. For the 2026-27 season the resort counts about 4,500 skiable acres, with the new Hail Peak Express opening terrain on the far eastern edge.

The original Snow Park base and Silver Lake Village, with Stein Eriksen Lodge and other high-end hotels, are still the heart of the classic resort. Expect high prices and impeccable service.

Maps and mountain orientation
