This Is The Place Heritage Park marks the spot where Brigham Young looked over the valley and declared it the right place for Mormon pioneers to settle. The park covers about 450 acres and centers on a pioneer village with historic and replica buildings, from homes and shops to a schoolhouse.

Costumed interpreters demonstrate pioneer crafts and daily life, and there are pony rides, a train and seasonal events. The park also tells the story of the Native peoples who lived in the valley long before 1847.
