From the Wire Pass Trailhead, the BLM says, the route follows Coyote Wash for a little over a mile before entering the narrows. Two short stretches of slot lead to the confluence with Buckskin Gulch, about 1.7 miles from the trailhead, where a petroglyph panel marks the turnaround for most day hikers.

It is also a start or finish for overnight trips through Buckskin Gulch and Paria Canyon; the Paria confluence is about 13 miles away by way of Buckskin. Day hikers need the same per-person and per-dog day-use permit as Buckskin, and overnight trips need an advance permit.

Safety

The narrows are short but they are a slot canyon. Check the forecast and BLM advisories before going in.
