Thanksgiving Point

Seven venues on two Lehi campuses, run by a nonprofit: a dinosaur museum, a children’s science museum, butterflies, a working farm, an indoor play world, a carousel and 50 acres of gardens.

Plan your visit: access, parking and practical details

Check the operator’s current fees, reservations, parking, transit, restrooms and accessibility arrangements before leaving. Confirm specific mobility or sensory needs directly with the venue.

Official visitor information ↗

Thanksgiving Point in Lehi is a group of separate venues rather than one museum. Thanksgiving Point Institute, a nonprofit, runs seven of them: Ashton Gardens, the Mountain America Museum of Ancient Life, the Museum of Natural Curiosity, Butterfly Biosphere, Curiosity Farms, Mountain America Jurassic Jungle and The Carousel.

Each venue has its own focus, tickets and hours, and the venues are split between two campuses. One big venue can fill an outing, so most visitors pick one or two rather than trying to see all seven in a day.

Before you go

Pick one or two venues per visit. Check the campus map, what each ticket covers and any reservation rules. All venues are closed Sundays, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The venues

The Water Tower Campus holds the Museum of Ancient Life, Jurassic Jungle, Butterfly Biosphere and Curiosity Farms. The Gardens Campus holds the Museum of Natural Curiosity, The Carousel and Ashton Gardens. The official map shows where each one is.

Water Tower Campus

Dinosaurs and fossils

Mountain America Museum of Ancient Life ↗

About 60 complete mounted dinosaur skeletons, more than 50 hands-on exhibits such as the Erosion Table and Quarry Dig, and paleontologists at work on real fossils. Add-ons like the Paleo Studio and geode cracking cost extra.

Indoor dinosaur playground

Mountain America Jurassic Jungle ↗

A five-story indoor play space with a volcano slide, climbing and moving dinosaurs. Everyone, adults included, must wear grip socks, and an adult signs a waiver. Junior Jurassic is for children under 4.

Butterflies and insects

Butterfly Biosphere ↗

A conservatory with more than a thousand live butterflies, plus the Discovery Zone of live insects and a leafcutter ant colony. Butterfly’s First Flight, a release of newly emerged butterflies, is an add-on sold in person at the front desk.

Animals and farm science

Curiosity Farms ↗

The farm once called Farm Country, reimagined in 2024. Milk a cow, feed the goats, see hydroponic growing and farm technology, ride the Farm Fun Express train and play at the all-abilities Play Patch Playground. Pony rides have age, height and weight limits and need a waiver.

Gardens Campus

Hands-on science and play

Museum of Natural Curiosity ↗

More than 400 hands-on exhibits, including the Rainforest, Kidopolis (a kid-sized city inside the museum), Water Works and the Discovery Garden. Teamwork in the Wee Jungle is for children 3 and under. The Canopy Tour ropes course has its own fee, height rules and waiver.

A short ride between venues

The Carousel ↗

Thirty hand-painted horses, between the Museum of Natural Curiosity and Ashton Gardens. Rides are ticketed on their own.

Gardens and seasonal festivals

Ashton Gardens ↗

Fifty acres of gardens and lawns, laid out as 17 themed spaces divided by trees, shrubs and grasses. The Trellis Café and the Garden Path Greenhouse are on the grounds. Water features and guided tours change with the season, so check the venue page.

Plan an outing

These pairings are our suggestions, not official itineraries. Check each venue’s ticket before you combine them.

  • Dinosaur fans: the Museum of Ancient Life, then Jurassic Jungle for active play. Both are on the Water Tower Campus.
  • Animals and insects: Curiosity Farms and Butterfly Biosphere, also on the Water Tower Campus.
  • A garden day: Ashton Gardens, with The Carousel or the Museum of Natural Curiosity nearby on the Gardens Campus.

Tickets and reservations

Each venue sells its own admission, and most use timed tickets with limited availability, so buy ahead. Hours vary by venue and season; each venue page has the current schedule.

The All-Access Pass covers one day at the six main venues plus one ride on The Carousel. Some signature events are excluded, and entry depends on capacity. An annual membership includes admission to all seven venues, but members still need an advance online reservation for Jurassic Jungle.

Through the year

The Tulip Festival fills Ashton Gardens with spring flowers, the Scarecrow Festival brings community-made scarecrows and carved pumpkins in the fall, and Luminaria lights the gardens for the holidays. Ticket rules differ by event: the 2026 Scarecrow Festival was included with regular Ashton Gardens admission, while Luminaria sells its own tickets. Check each event page for dates.

Accessibility and reduced admission

Sensory backpacks, with noise-reducing headphones, fidget toys and sunglasses, can be borrowed free at the Museum of Ancient Life, Butterfly Biosphere and the Museum of Natural Curiosity, and sensory maps mark sensory hot spots at four venues. Wheelchairs and strollers can be rented at the venues while they last. Ashton Gardens also rents electric scooters, which can be reserved online, plus golf carts and wagons in person. Guest Information at 801-768-2300 can help with a specific need.

Every Kid Counts gives households with a SNAP or WIC card free or discounted admission to five venues. It is sold in person only and does not cover The Carousel or Jurassic Jungle.

Food

Thanksgiving Point’s dining page lists Harvest Restaurant, the seasonal Trellis Café in the Garden Visitor Center, the Tower Deli & Grill, the Ice Age Creamery inside the Museum of Ancient Life and the Curiosity Cafe inside the Museum of Natural Curiosity. Check it for hours.

Booked separately

Cornbelly’s fall corn maze in Lehi and the Thanksgiving Point Golf Club sell their own tickets and tee times. Thanksgiving Point membership does not include Cornbelly’s; members get golf discounts under the club’s booking rules.
