Salisbury agreement / Stone Hollow stormwater channel

Santaquin approached the Salisbury companies, Salisbury Land, LLC and Salisbury Developers, Inc., because the city needs land for a channel that carries stormwater downstream from two debris basins higher up in the Summit Ridge area at the northwest corner of town. Resolution 09-03-2026 approves an agreement under which the city gets about 1.14 acres for that channel and, in exchange, the developers' development rights in the Stone Hollow subdivision are "reinstated" as they were, subject to additional work and requirements. City Manager Norm Beagley told the council that a road still has to be built within Stone Hollow. The Planning Commission had earlier recommended approval of the land-use exceptions that go with the deal. The council approved the resolution on Sept. 15 with four yes votes and one member absent, after no questions. The minutes are still draft, and they do not give a price, the specific exceptions, or the date the land is to be transferred. The executed agreement and deed are not in the posted records.
