Pleasant Grove development tracker

600 West and Center Street improvements

Pleasant Grove plans to move the 600 West intersection with Center Street. The existing 600 West intersection would be abandoned and a new one built to the east, with a "high-T" traffic signal to improve flow on State Street and railroad crossing upgrades in both directions. Signals would be linked so the State Street light, the new 600 West light and the rail crossings work together, and the city's water, sewer and storm drain lines would have to be moved or replaced. The city got funding through Utah County's Mountain Land Transportation Funding program, with the county as program manager. The city's August request for proposals says construction is expected in 2029, depending on coordination with the railroad, and that six parcels will need right-of-way paperwork. For the Oct. 6 meeting the council was asked to approve Resolution 2026-046, authorizing the mayor to sign an engineering design and construction-management agreement with Ridgeline Consultants. That contract covers design in stages from 15% to final plans, bid support and construction oversight, and the packet copy of the resolution is unsigned with no fee shown. It is a design contract, not a construction award, and the packet gives no closure dates or construction budget. Public involvement is to be handled under a separate contract.
