2810 South at 8000 West realignment

Magna's 2810 South at 8000 West realignment is a road project funded mostly with federal money passed through UDOT. UDOT and the Greater Salt Lake Municipal Services District signed the original federal aid agreement on Jan. 18, 2024, and a second modification now sets a maximum project value of $9,262,264: $8,838,309 in federal aid, no state money, and $423,955 from local governments, of which $400,000 is counted as in-kind rather than cash. The local agencies pay their matching share in phases when UDOT asks, and they cover 100% of any costs above the maximum and any costs federal rules treat as ineligible. At the Oct. 13 meeting the Magna City Council was asked, under Resolution R2026-47, to co-sign the modification alongside the district because the road lies inside the city. The agenda packet carries the unsigned resolution and modification; the council's vote and the signed modification are not in the posted records, though the meeting's audio is attached to the notice.
