The auditor told the council in January that many accounting adjustments were made at year-end and that the city exceeded its budget. Council members asked for documentation of corrective actions.

In June the council voted 5-0 to declare an intended rate of 0.001434, holding last year's rate. On Aug. 11, with Davis County's certified rate at 0.001421, it voted 4-1 to adopt 0.001434; staff estimated the difference at about $13,000 a year.

South Weber council adopts final FY2026-27 budget 4-1
The South Weber City Council's Aug. 25, 2026 meeting adopted the final fiscal 2026-27 budget on a 4-1 vote, revised the city's cash receipting and depositing policy and amended the consolidated fee schedule.
