Orderville at a glance

Kane County · Utah

Orderville occupies part of Long Valley along Highway 89. Its official history describes a community whose name comes from the United Order, the cooperative settlement system under which the town was established in 1875.

The town’s account follows both that distinctive social experiment and the surrounding geography. It identifies Mount Carmel and Mount Carmel Junction as part of the town and describes the road connection toward Zion National Park. Those place names can matter when finding a destination or a public record. Current municipal notices and documents should be consulted separately from the historical account.
