Plymouth at a glance

Box Elder County · Utah

Plymouth is a Box Elder County community near the Idaho border whose early name was Squaretown. The county’s regional history dates settlement to 1869 and explains the earlier name through the arrangement of four families on adjoining land sections. It attributes the Plymouth name to a nearby rock associated with Plymouth Rock.

The town council’s Utah Public Notice Website page provides a practical entry into municipal life, with contacts, meeting agendas, available minutes and public-hearing material. County directories supply another route to local offices. These public resources make it possible to follow the town’s own business while keeping the broader valley’s history separate from current municipal requirements. Plymouth posts council agendas, available meeting recordings and ordinance notices as separate entries. Check the title and file extension as well as the attachment category: a signed ordinance labeled as audio is still a document, and an ordinance notice is separate from the council agenda.
