Bear River City at a glance
Box Elder County · Utah
Bear River City’s history begins beside the river that gave it its name. Box Elder County describes families settling there in 1866 after finding water along the Malad River unsuitable for their needs. Irrigation, railroad work and freighting all became part of the community’s early story.
The county’s account also describes a heritage landscape of pioneer memorials, a preserved school bell and a city park with sports and rodeo facilities. The municipal website complements that background with notices, council information and community announcements. It is a useful starting point for following local government while exploring the broader Bear River Valley. Bear River City’s council resource is identified as Bear River in the state listing and provides meeting notices and available written minutes. Use the municipal council entry and match the minutes to their own meeting date, rather than substituting a county or regional meeting record.
