His work has included city parks, commercial construction and religious properties. He also earned a master’s degree in business management from Utah Valley University. [1]
Referendum involvement
Before becoming mayor, Stratton led an effort opposing a proposed $35 million Vineyard City Hall project. His campaign announcement describes gathering more than 500 resident signatures in one week and says the council canceled the project. Vineyard’s mayoral biography also identifies this effort as part of his public-service background, connecting it with his emphasis on financial oversight and public participation. [2]
Stated municipal priorities
Stratton’s campaign identifies financial responsibility, open decision-making, infrastructure planning and respect for residents’ input as priorities. He presents his experience running a construction and landscaping company as preparation for assessing public projects and their costs. These statements describe the approach he advocated during the campaign, including a desire for growth decisions to reflect community concerns and the demands placed on taxpayers. [2]
Current mayoral role
Vineyard lists Stratton’s term as beginning in 2026 and continuing through December 31, 2029. The mayor’s office supports leadership and community programs, with responsibilities including code enforcement, communications and city events. His official biography emphasizes taxpayer protection, accountability and growth planning. Those responsibilities place his earlier advocacy over a specific public building within the broader work of leading a municipal administration. [3] [1]
