Background
Trent Jackson is Ferron’s mayor and previously served the city as both a council member and, for a shorter period, mayor. He returned to the mayor’s office in September 2023 following Adele Justice’s resignation, taking the oath on September 13. The council’s selection vote had ended in a tie that was resolved by a coin toss. His subsequent work included reporting county-level emergency-medical-service discussions to Ferron’s council. In January 2025, he highlighted gaps in local ambulance coverage and questions about stipends for staffing ambulance garages.
