Eagle Mountain government and community work

Stephanie Gricius is an entrepreneur and former Eagle Mountain City Council member. Her official House biography dates her council election to 2015 and describes work involving economic development, small businesses and regional transportation. It also records advocacy for children in foster care and women leaving domestic violence. Those activities provide local-government and community-service background for her later work at the Capitol. [2]

House District 50 and caucus leadership

Gricius began House service in 2023 and represents District 50 in Utah County. The current legislative record identifies her as House majority caucus manager. Her standing committee assignments include Health and Human Services and Judiciary. Those responsibilities combine caucus leadership with substantive work on health programs, family and civil law, and the operation of the state's legal system. [2]

A documented family-law proposal

The introduced text of 2025 HB29, Child Visitation Amendments, names Gricius as chief sponsor and Stephanie Pitcher as Senate sponsor. It proposed changes to standards and court findings for custody or visitation sought by someone other than a parent. The document also records a Judiciary Interim Committee recommendation. This account describes that introduced proposal, without treating its initial language as a complete statement of current law. [1]

In the 2026 General Session, Stephanie Gricius was chief sponsor of H.B. 11, Dyed Diesel Fuel Search Amendments. It allows a vehicle to be searched for a dyed diesel violation only on probable cause, with the owner's consent or at a port of entry, and says that driving a diesel vehicle on a highway does not by itself amount to probable cause. The governor signed it on February 27, 2026. [3]

In the 2026 General Session, Stephanie Gricius was chief sponsor of H.B. 62, Road Jurisdiction Amendments. It tells the Department of Transportation to recommend a legislative amendment when a proposed highway is finished and updates how two state routes, SR-73 and SR-145, are described. The governor signed it on March 13, 2026. [4]

Social-services funding and interim review

Gricius serves on Social Services Appropriations and the interim committees for Health and Human Services and Judiciary. Those assignments place agency spending alongside the family-law and healthcare subjects considered by her standing committees. Her official biography's emphasis on foster children and domestic-violence advocacy supplies personal context, while the committee record identifies the actual legislative venues in which she reviews programs and proposals.
