Background
Seth Marsing is Carbon County’s clerk/auditor. Raised in Carbonville, he graduated from Carbon High School and the College of Eastern Utah, later attending Brigham Young University. His professional background includes finance, brokerage work, sales and marketing, and he earned an MBA from Western Governors University. Marsing was selected as interim clerk/auditor before winning election in 2018. In a profile following that election, he emphasized budgeting, understandable financial information and accurate, timely records, while describing customer service and communication as important parts of his preparation for public office.
