Background

A March 2024 Southern Utah University alumni profile says Sullivan graduated in 2004, grew up working in his family's St. George restaurant and inn, and spent 20 years at the Washington County Assessor's Office, starting as an appraiser trainee. It says he ran for the open clerk/auditor post and was elected the year before the profile ran.
