Egg producers and food regulation
Shipp sponsored 2026 HB432, Egg Amendments. The introduced text proposed licensing requirements for shell-egg distribution, restrictions on out-of-state sales by small producers, registration for large producers and clarification of agriculture-department inspection and rulemaking authority. It supplies a concrete example of his work on agricultural regulation and the treatment of producers of different sizes. It also addressed fee authority and different requirements for small and large producers. This account describes the introduced version. [2]
In the 2026 General Session, Rex P. Shipp was chief sponsor of H.B. 125, Department of Natural Resources Related Modifications Amendments. The governor signed it on March 25, 2026. [3]
