Background

Mickey Wright, mayor of Torrey, is a retired software engineer who co-founded the computer-security companies Senforce and Panoptic. In a 2025 Utah League of Cities and Towns questionnaire, he described earlier work in payment-card security and reported volunteering computer support at Capitol Reef National Park. The questionnaire also said he had served on the League’s board for two years. Torrey’s official biography identifies him as serving a second mayoral term and describes a professional career along the Wasatch Front before settling full-time in Torrey.
