Kay Richins is Henefer’s mayor and has worked as a rancher and trucking-company owner. A 2025 Park Record profile described him as a multiple-term mayor. In his campaign materials, he cited a new town hall, infrastructure improvements and planning for a recreation and civic center among projects undertaken during his tenure. His regional work has included presenting Henefer’s request to redirect Small Cities grant money toward a road-maintenance shop for snowplows, sanders and safety equipment at a September 2025 Summit County Council of Governments meeting.
