Background
Jeremie Forman was appointed mayor of Francis on January 12, 2023, after more than ten years on the city council. At the appointment meeting, he described about a year of service as mayor pro tempore and seventeen years working in law enforcement. The Summit County Sheriff's Office lists him as the lieutenant commanding its Patrol Division, which includes patrol, motor and K-9 operations. His municipal experience before becoming mayor included council work on city budgets.
