Publishing and business
Jeff Lambson grew up in Orem’s Sharon neighborhood and later established Granite Publishing and Distribution. The company published books, art and music associated with his church community and distributed products to bookstores. In the city’s profile, he describes building the business with family help and supplying hundreds of stores. He identifies editing, publishing and the creative process as enduring interests beyond the management side of his work. [1]
Community events and council service
Lambson traces his interest in public service to involvement with a pageant parade that developed into the community’s Family Summerfest. He subsequently served on the CARE Commission before running for council. His account describes learning to welcome residents’ questions and suggestions during campaigning, despite initial apprehension. Relationships built through that service became a reason to continue working in local government and to consider perspectives different from his own. [1]
Growth and community character
Lambson wants Orem to accommodate families and newcomers while preserving the sense of neighborliness he remembers from childhood. He recognizes both the loss of a smaller-town atmosphere and the opportunities brought by a more diverse population. His city interview connects that outlook with experience raising a family and operating a business locally, and with an emphasis on trust and respectful relationships when council members disagree. Current responsibilities
Orem lists Lambson as mayor pro tem, serving a 2024–2028 term. Assignments include historic preservation, community events, the Orem Community Foundation, Sleepy Ridge and Timpanogos Regional Hospital. [2]
