Business and Cedar Valley roots

Jared Gray worked as a teenage farmhand at Cedar Valley Farms before Eagle Mountain incorporated. His official biography describes a long connection with the area as farmland became residential neighborhoods. He started Gray Trucking in 2000 and later Gray Excavating, and has also worked in real estate. His professional experience therefore includes transportation, earthwork and property-related business. Community service before the mayoralty

Gray’s local service has included the cemetery board, parks and recreation, Youth Council and Planning Commission. As president of Pony Express Events, he coordinates activities including the PRCA rodeo, demolition derby and Enduro Cross. The city lists him in his first mayoral term, covering 2026 through 2029, following years of involvement in community institutions and events. [1]

Infrastructure priorities

In his March 2026 State of the City address, Gray places roads, utilities, public facilities and long-term planning at the center of his agenda. He discusses additional sewer treatment capacity, new wells and assessment of power options. He frames that work around keeping infrastructure abreast of growth while exercising spending discipline and limiting additional burdens on households. These are citywide efforts described in his address. [2]

Executive responsibilities

Eagle Mountain identifies the mayor as its chief executive and spokesperson, responsible for administering the budget, presiding over council meetings and executing city obligations. Appointments to advisory bodies require council advice and consent, while the council adopts the budget and ordinances. Gray’s public address emphasizes coordination with that council, staff and residents, placing his executive role within a broader municipal decision-making structure. [1] [2]
