Professional and civic background

Bullen represents Murray Council District 3, beginning in January 2026 for a two-year term through December 2027. [3]

Clark Bullen’s published candidate responses identify work in employee benefits at CUI and service with Murray’s Chamber of Commerce, Rotary and Exchange clubs. He also lists involvement in the Arts Board, Partners for Prevention, Historic Murray First and downtown committees. Those assignments connect professional management with local cultural institutions, public health concerns and business relationships. [1]

Historic preservation

Bullen traces his organized civic advocacy to an effort to preserve the Murray Theater. His campaign account treats the restored theater, Armory and Murray Mansion as assets that give downtown a distinctive identity. He supports retaining historic structures as part of redevelopment, arguing that existing buildings can attract activity while maintaining the city’s cultural character. This is his account of his role and priorities. [2]

Housing and downtown investment

His platform favors additional opportunities for homeownership and a balance of housing types. He also advocates a downtown destination with public plazas, restaurants, entertainment and recurring events, linking those amenities with a stronger tax base. Suggested park improvements include a splash pad, skate or pump-track facilities, dog parks and accessible play space. These are proposed directions rather than a list of completed projects. [2]

Resident participation

Bullen emphasizes seeking residents’ views before development decisions and making local policy responsive to those concerns. In his published candidate answers, he calls for extensive communication and public education about city business. His campaign presents that engagement as central to decisions about housing and historic downtown, building on years participating in city proceedings and organizations before joining the council.
