Background

Cindy Keyes is Summit County’s auditor. Before taking that office, she was the county health department’s business manager and had built a career of more than two decades in accounting and finance across public and private employers. In June 2020, she joined other county staff in presenting a proposed allocation of federal pandemic-relief money to the County Council. A grant coordinator credited her in March 2022 Board of Health minutes with converting department records to a paperless system and creating a report to track grants.
