Brenda Tuttle is Emery County’s clerk/auditor and a certified public accountant. In a 2018 candidate statement, she described growing up in Ferron, graduating from Emery High School and earning a master’s degree in accounting at Southern Utah University. She said she spent three years independently auditing local governments after college, obtained her CPA license and returned to Emery County. By 2018, she reported 21 years in the clerk/auditor’s office, including 12 as its elected leader. Her work has combined county accounting and budgeting with payroll, elections and other clerk services.
