Background
Ben Hillyard is mayor of Woodland Hills. In his biography on the city’s website, he describes professional work with large national companies in organizational culture, operations and business systems, alongside experience owning and operating businesses. His municipal service predates the mayoralty: a January 2025 city newsletter identifies him as a council member and carries his explanation of how public comments can inform council decisions. Draft January 2026 South Utah Valley Electric Service District minutes also record his swearing-in as a member of that district’s board of trustees.
