Background
Amber Shill is president of the Canyons Board of Education. First elected in November 2014, she represents District 2, which includes much of Cottonwood Heights. She graduated cum laude from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. In January 2021 she became president of the Utah School Boards Association after serving on its Joint Legislative, Executive and Advocacy committees. Her wider service has included representing Canyons on the Utah High School Activities Association and the Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
