The FY2027 adopted budget says the Main Street RDA expired in 2021 and that state legislation requires its remaining funds to be spent by the end of 2026. Its two funds held $2.46 million at June 30, 2025, the latest audited date.
Clearfield dissolves 35-year-old RDA 8 with about $1 million left to spend
Clearfield's council voted 4–0 in June to dissolve Redevelopment Project Area 8, which stopped collecting tax increment in December 2025. A staff memo said about $1 million remained, and state law requires any funds unspent at the end of the dormancy period to be returned to taxing entities.
Three Draper redevelopment areas that have stopped collecting reported $8 million in unaudited balances
The redevelopment agency's 2026 annual report lists unaudited June 30, 2026 balances in East Bangerter, Sand Hills and West Freeway, along with intended uses. The agency's consultant told the council the areas had two years to spend or commit the money.
