A Utah County flower farm is giving free floral arrangements and casket sprays to families grieving the loss of a baby, KUTV reported during Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. Owner Jordy Smith runs Wild Spring Flowers, which she and her husband began building in fall 2022 after her first baby was stillborn and had its first harvest in 2023. [1]

Smith said she had little say in the flowers at her son's funeral and later wished she had known about options such as a casket spray. The couple later lost a daughter, born at 24 weeks, who lived 25 days in the neonatal intensive care unit at Utah Valley Hospital. Smith said helping other families has become her purpose. [1]

Visitors to the farm's U-pick garden can cut their own flowers, and those purchases help pay for the free arrangements. The farm is closing for the growing season, but Smith said she will keep providing arrangements year-round, buying flowers when necessary. KUTV and Mountain America Credit Union recognized her through the Pay It Forward program. [1]
